Dear Sailors,

The BSA was just informed by Anna Lynch (project manager of the yacht True North) that the Volvo Open 70 True North will be stopping in Nassau between February 7th and 14th, 2013.

True North is a Volvo Open 70 that competed in the 2008 - 2009 edition of the Volvo Ocean Race, and is currently being chartered and re-branded to promote Dubai as a candidate city to host the World Expo in 2020. She's currently underway to Nassau, Bahamas.

"True North is sailing around the Caribbean to increase awareness of Dubai's bid to host the World Expo in 2020, amongst member countries of the Bureau International des Expositions. Every five years, World Expos attract millions of visitors who explore and discover pavilions, exhibitions and cultural events staged by hundreds of participants including nations, international organisations and businesses. "

"Our aim while in The Bahamas is to get as many people as possible out sailing on this incredible yacht! This is where I hope you might have teams/members/friends/family etc interested. Up to 20 guests can be onboard at a time so there's plenty of room."

Please contact Anna Lynch with any questions regarding this awesome opportunity.

The below link contains more info and pictures of True North.

Kind regards,
Brent J. Burrows II
