The Sunfish National Championship was sailed on November 3rd & 4th, 2012 and played host to extremely close and competitive racing- So close that only one point separated First and Second place in the final standings.
16 boats took part in the National Championship event, which was sailed over the course of 6 races, in light to moderate conditions in Montague Bay.
The National event was won by long-time Sunfish Sailor, and past World Champion, Donald Martinborough.
Second place went to junior sailor Paul DeSouza, who sailed a very consistent series.
Lori Lowe took 3rd place, and was also the 1st female. Lori also turned a good showing in the light to moderate conditions that came into play during the event.
The Nassau Yacht Club provided the great food and drinks for the presentation, and hosted a wonderful series.
